Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student should:
know the most important graphic tools used in music-related production of digital visual content, such as photography and graphic expressions
have a basic understanding of the development of their own visual identity
be able to create visual content for their own digital platforms
be able to create visual expressions related to own music production on digital platforms and physical formats
Course contents
This course focus on the production of visual content for use in social media and in websites. In addition, we work with visual content for physical and digital music products. The course is designed for visual content production and will introduce the student to a wide range of related software, technology, and tools.
Teaching methods
The teaching is conducted in groups, seminars, and supervision in connection with assignments with camera and graphic design software.
Parts of the teaching are compulsory. These parts are presented in Canvas at the beginning of the semester.
Expected scope of work is 27 hours per. credits.

approved 1–3 compulsory assignments

Assessment methods and criteria
An individual portfolio exam consisting of two parts.
Part 1: Provide a digital graphic profile for an artist or graphic material for an album release
Part 2: A written reflection paper of approx. 500 words
Further information is provided in Canvas at the start of the semester. An overall grade is given for the portfolio.
Graded assessment.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1.
