Upon completion of the course, students shall:be able to utilize basic music technology
have knowledge of the use of music technology related to ensemble practice and the student’s own main instrument or main areas
be able to use both analogue and digital recording equipment in basic music production
Course contents
Course includes:
introduction to different software and applications
introduction to sound recording and editing
introduction to relevant music technological equipment
Teaching methods
The course is conducted through group lessons. Attending the lessons is compulsory. Expected workload for an average student is 27 hours per credit.

Recognized attendance for the lessons
2 semester tests must be passed
Assessment methods and criteria
One individual practice-based sound production assignment, related to the curriculum. More information will be provided through Canvas upon semester start. Assessment: Graded A-F
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1.
