Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, students shall:
have knowledge of anatomy and physiology as a platform for their own performance practice
have knowledge of how to achieve bodily balance as a foundation for muscular freedom during performance
have basic knowledge of the relationship between conscious and unconscious emotions, breathing and muscles
have basic knowledge of mental exercises, as well as cognitive and body control under pressure
Course contents
Course includes:
work on elevant topics in anatomy and physiology
work with mental exercising and visualization
work with breathing techniques, body weight displacement, gravity and the relationship between psyche and physics
work with techniques for mental focus
practice and exercise on stage
Teaching methods
The course is conducted through group lessons, with compulsory attendance. The lessons can be grouped together after the preliminary schedule. Expected workload for an average student is 27 hours per credit.

Assessment methods and criteria
One written home assignment, duration 14 days. Individual assessment. Assessment: Graded A-F
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1.
