Course contents
Course includes:
review of the history of western classical music with attention given to different characteristics, approaches and analysis
theme-based work around composer, period, genre or popular music special course in folk music
Teaching methods
The course is conducted through lectures and group work. Expected workload for an average student is 27 hours per credit.

Assessment methods and criteria
One individual practice-based assignment with sound production related to the curriculum. Duration: 21 days. More information will be provided upon semester start. Assessment: Graded A-F
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1.
