Course contents
Lectures in aesthetics and creativity are combined with practical work in groups, where students write songs, pop lyrics, and finally record the result in a music studio. The music emerged during the course, or music the students have created elsewhere will be used as a "case", and as a basis for a business plan, where students will be able to work with the process from the "creative idea" to a marketing profile and a realistic budget. Students will gain insight into how to set up a budget and marketing plan based on the music production they create. They will gain insight into digital marketing strategies. Students will be guided in how to present a musical project in a business context. The course also includes individual work with music production.
Expected workload for the student is 27 hours per credit.
