On successful completion of the course, the student should be able to apply the Finite element method for static linear and nonlinear structural analysis of representative mechatronic components.

The course evaluation is completed as a midterm evaluation in accordance with the provisions listed in the Quality Assurance System Chapter 2.1.1. A final evaluation may be completed as required.
Compulsory tutorials. Information will be given in Fronter at the start of the course.
Assessment methods and criteria
3-hour individual written examination under supervision (60 % of the final assessment) and practical project work with compulsory presentation (40 % of the final assessment). Graded assessment.
