Course contents
The course provides an understanding of chemical concepts and principles, and an introduction to chemical analytical laboratory work.
Teaching methods
Instruction is provided in the form of lectures, group exercises with submissions and laboratory work with written reports. Attendance is obligatory for all laboratory exercises and laboratory lectures in advance of each of these. It is anticipated scope of work 270 hours for the course.
Examination requirements
Attendance at all mandatory laboratory exercises and laboratory lectures must be approved and all assignments must be passed, see Canvas for more information.
Assessment methods and criteria
A 4-hour written individual exam. Graded assessment.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1. Information about evaluation method for the course will be posted on Canvas.
