The participants must be enrolled as a Ph.D. student at a relevant Ph.D. programme.
Basic research knowledge equivalent to master´s level is required within the fields of either arts, education or mental health.
After completing the seminar, the candidates:
This PhD course will address questions about being human today and discuss current challenges within art, mental health and education from ethical, political and practical perspectives and within various research fields. An aesthetic angle and the art context will be the particular point of departure.
The course will thematize how existing norms within our practices can be disrupted and propose how other alternatives and possibilities which incorporate aesthetic and democratic concerns.
The teaching and learning methods will consist of a combination of lectures, seminars and presentations based on the lecture topics and the candidates’ own ongoing research work.
The course language is English.
