Norwegian.Textbooks are in English, and international students are offered special tuition in English.
After successful completion of the course, the student should be able to:
Be aware of your own qualities and skills as a leader
Know key concepts and models for practical management in different situations
Be able to discuss moral and ethical aspects of leadership
Master inportant concepts in organizational theory
Be able to take on leadership roles in work and business
Through wise management could contribute to efficient organizations and jobs of good quality.
In the course, the student gains insight into key concepts within the management subject, with emphasis on practical management psychology. Based on concrete situations in working life, the student will be skilled in meeting and leading people. the course emphasizes the student's own development as a leader. More important than theory is therefore the student's reflection on his or her own qualities and skills. In a separate section, an introduction is given to organizational theory, where both organizational structure and organizational behavior are elucidated.
Lectures, videos, discussions, presentations and group work. Workload is estimated to be comprised of approximately 200 hours.
