Learning outcomes
After having completed the course students will:
be able to analyse and problematize the concepts of health, the body, life style, and quality of life related to chronic health failure
have advanced knowledge on physical, psychological, social, and existential aspects of chronic health failure in different phases of life
have advanced knowledge of symptoms in chronic health failure and assessment of complex patient situations in interaction with patients, relatives , and interdisciplinary professional groups
be able to assess and make use of clinical mapping tools
be able to make use of theories on quality of life, stress, mastering and behaviour which contributes to health through planning and development of clinical interventions
be able to contribute to re-thinking, initiating, and participating in innovation processes related to chronic health failure

Assessment methods and criteria
A graded written individual take-home examination.
The examination assignment will be handed out at the beginning of the semester and the student can work on it throughout the semester. The assignment must be submitted at a set deadline.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1.
