The course deals with French literature from the 17th to the 19th century, literary history, literary theory and textual analysis, as well as today's French society and the French-speaking world in light of France's history.
A five-week stay in Caen in January/February is included in the course. Among other things, an introduction to French geography and social studies will be given.
