Learning outcomes
On successful completion of the course, the canidate should:
Show a professionalised view on layout of both interactive and passive media.
Be capable of creating interactive and passive media designs with a professional touch.
Be able to give a record of central issues in interaction design.
Master software for raster graphics, vector graphics and layout on a semi-professional level.
Course contents
Graphic and interactive design and its corner stones; shapes, colour, typography, layout, structure, navigation, user experience and more. The use and principles of essential graphic software for raster graphics, vector graphics, and layout.
Teaching methods
Digital lectures / video courses. Some lectures. Laboratory course offered. Mandatory weekly assignments.
Estimated workload for the average student is approximately 270 hours.
Assessment methods and criteria
Portfolio assessment. Pass / fail. Approved course is based on points gathered through assignments.
Evaluation
The study programme manager, in consultation with the student representative, decides the method of evaluation and whether the courses will have a midterm- or end of term evaluation, see also the Quality System, section 4.1.
