After completing the course, the student is expected to:
Understand the subject's correlation to the other courses in the civil engineering program.
Understand the importance of operation and maintenance of concrete structures
Understand and evaluate different degradation mechanisms in concrete structures
Develop and execute a plan for a Condition survey
Know and understand the various methods for repairing concrete and assess and understand the consequences of various strategies for restoration

Concrete damages - degradation mechanisms of concrete constructions
Condition survey in general and specifically for concrete
Restoration principles and repair methods for concrete
Rehabilitation process
Control of execution
Description and ordering of maintenance and reparations
Criterias for rehabilitation of antiquarian concrete structures
Laws, legislations and standard
Teaching methods
Lectures, exercises and laboratory exercises
Examination requirements
Students must pass the compulsory assignments in order to take the examination.

Individual 4 hours written exam. Graded assessment

The person responsible for the course decides, in cooperation with student representative, the form of student evaluation and whether the course is to have a midway or end of course evaluation in accordance with the quality system for education, chapter 4.1.”
