Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student is expected to:
Have knowledge of security philosophy for constructions, loads and regulations for load and response modeling
Have knowledge of the behavioral structure and choice of materials.
Have knowledge of climatic stresses as a basis for choosing materials for climate screens and design of construction details.
Be able to analyze the behavior of carrier structures and climate screens.
Be able to communicate using drawings and digital building models
Course contents
The course will provide competence in the design of construction, based on the safety-theoretical basis for the design and society's demands for reliability and buildings' functional and viability. Eurocode 0 and 1 are central.
Teaching methods
Lectures, exercises and project.
Examination requirements
Students must pass the compulsory assignments in order to take the examination
Assessment methods and criteria
Individual written exam 4 hours. Graded assessment.
Evaluation
The person responsible for the course decides, in cooperation with student representative, the form of student evaluation and whether the course is to have a midway or end of course evaluation in accordance with the quality system for education, chapter 4.1.”
