The course will develop students' audiovisual awareness and skills related to film theory and screen production. This will provide students with an analytical understanding of film, necessary terminology associated with film and an overview of important epochs in film history.
In addition, students will have two to four project periods when they work with short film productions from initial concept to finished product.

The program has an internationally oriented theoretical and methodological approach. All courses use some English literature and our neighboring languages are also well represented.
Throughout the program, students work with film stories from several continents, and we aim to increase our students’ global interests through working with texts from outside of western culture.
At least one course in the program is taught in English and is open to international students.
