About OLS
Online Linguistic Support (OLS) is a free online language learning platform designed for Erasmus+ participants. With OLS you can test your current level in the language you will use while you are abroad on Erasmus+. Your results will not prevent you from taking part in Erasmus+, but will give you access to an OLS language course! OLS complements face-to-face teaching, allowing you to develop your skills outside the classroom. It also provides you with collaborative and peer learning opportunities.
OLS is available for all European official languages: Bulgarian, Czech, Danish, German, Greek, English, Estonian, Spanish, Finnish, French, Irish Gaelic, Croatian, Hungarian, Italian, Lithuanian, Latvian, Maltese, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Romanian, Slovak, Slovenian and Swedish.
Exceptions for taking the language assessment:
If you will work or study in your mother tongue
If you will work or study in other languages than those mentioned above.
Important information:
The grades are from A1 (lowest), A2, B1, B2, C1, C2 (highest).
B2 is the level all students are expected to have before the study or work period starts.
If you get results lower than B2 in German, English, Spanish, French, Dutch or Portuguese you will automatically get a course license to this language as you will then have to improve to a level of B2 or higher.
You have the opportunity to access OLS language courses in both your mobility language and the official local language(s) of your destination country. You can simply express your interest by selecting the language(s) you would like to learn with OLS.
