Buddy system for new students

As a new international degree seeking student at the University of Agder in August, you will automatically become part of a buddy/'fadder' group.

The buddy system at UiA is a collaboration between the Erasmus Student Network (ESN) and the 'Fadder' scheme.

ESN is a student organisation for supporting and developing student exchange. The buddy system welcomes both exchange and degree seeking students during semester start. ESN also organises events throughout the academic year.

Your buddy group will help you to:

  • get to know the campus
  • get to know the city
  • get to know other students 
  • give you insight and guidance into Norwegian society and culture

Not happy with your buddy group?

We believe that you are going to have a great time the moment you meet your group. And we will do everything to ensure that.

Therefore:

  • Are you unhappy with your buddy group?
  • Is there an unwanted focus on alcohol in your buddy group?
  • Does the buddy group not function as it should?
