The dates for postponed exams are not determined until after the registration deadline. They will be available on StudentWeb around September 10th and February 10th, and the exams will be scheduled for the end of September/October and February/March. For more detailed information about the exam periods, please consult the Academic Calendar.
The registration deadline is as follows:
September 1 for the fall semester
February 1 for the spring semester
StudentWeb opens for registration on December 10th and June 10th. It is your own responsibility to register for a postponed exam before the registration deadline.
To be eligible for a postponed exam in a course, you must:
be registered with approved work requirements
have attended the last ordinary exam or have been granted valid absence
Students who obtained a valid result in the previous semester have access to a postponed exam if one is offered.
For a postponed exam to be arranged, at least one student who failed, left the exam blank, or was sick must be registered for the exam. If no registered student meets these criteria, the exam will be canceled and students will be withdrawn from the exam.
Assessment Method
Postponed exams are primarily conducted using the same assessment method as the last regular exam. Exceptions can be made for practical or academic reasons.
Portfolio Assessment
Exam candidates are not entitled to a postponed portfolio assessment. The course description should specify if and how new or postponed exams are conducted for portfolio assessments.
Exchange
If you have been on an exchange program for a semester, you are eligible for a postponed exam in the following semester if it is offered, and you meet the exam requirements for the course. Enrollment is done via email to the examination office.
