All students who have completed a degree will automatically receive a digital diploma, which will be available in the Diploma Portal and in Studentweb. The diplomas will be produced in June and will be available before the deadline for submitting additional documents when applying for admission to other studies. If you complete the program at a different time, you can order the diploma by contacting the examination office.
You will not receive a diploma after completing a one-year program, but it will be reflected in the Diploma Portal that you have completed the program.
Transcripts
You can order a transcript of records in StudentWeb, but you can also share your results from the Diploma Registry.
Diploma supplement
The Diploma Supplement is an English, official document accompanying the diploma which gives a supplementary description of the obtained qualification. It is useful when applying for jobs or recognition of qualifications, as well as in connection with further studies abroad. Please note that the DS is only a supplement to the diploma, concerning one specific degree obtained by one individual graduate, which is valid only together with the specific diploma.
Paper version
Your digital diploma is an original document that follows an international standard. However, if you are applying for admission to a foreign educational institution or for work outside Norway, and there is a requirement for paper copies of your diploma and Diploma Supplement, you can order it by sending an email to the Examination Office. The documents will be sent to the home address you have registered in Studentweb, and the processing time is normally three weeks.
Note! A diploma is final, and it is not possible to have any grade improvements added to a diploma that has already been issued. We also do not issue a new diploma in connection with a name change. The name on the diploma should reflect the name the student had when completing the program.
Authorization for healthcare personnel
Completed bachelor's degrees in biomedical laboratory science, nursing, or social education provide the basis for applying for authorization under the Health Personnel Act.
UiA (University of Agder) submits a list to the Norwegian Directorate of Health of all students who have completed and passed a health-related education program that requires authorization. This applies even if you have not completed the program within the prescribed time. One prerequisite is that you have given UiA consent to apply on your behalf (via Studentweb):
You should not apply for authorization yourself.
You must consent to UiA applying for authorization on your behalf.
You must log in to Altinn and check your profile for the correct phone number and email address. This way, you will receive notifications when you receive letters in Altinn.
You must pay a fee of NOK 750 via Altinn to obtain authorization.
You will receive an email from Altinn instructing you to log in and pay.
If you fail to pay, you will not receive a reminder from Altinn.
If you haven't paid within 60 days, you must apply for authorization yourself. The processing time is up to 3 months from the date of application, and the fee is NOK 2000.
You will not receive a notification of the decision from Altinn. After the fee has been paid, you can check the Health Personnel Register (HPR) shortly thereafter and possibly obtain an extract from it. You will also find your HPR number there. You can find more information about authorization on the Norwegian Directorate of Health's website.
