Use the same user name, followed by @uia.no and password that you use for other services at UIA, (for instance Studentweb). You will only get access to courses when you have approved your education plan on Studentweb.

What is Canvas

Canvas is a Learning Management System that opens up possibilities for integration between various tools and provides opportunities for a variety of teaching methods. Read more about Canvas on this website.

Who will be using Canvas?

Beginning with the autumn of 2017, Canvas will be activated for 15% of the students, meaning that only a minority of students will be using Canvas in the academic year 2017/2018. If you are uncertain whether or not you will be using Canvas, get in touch with your course teacher. Beginning with the autumn 2018 semester, all students must use Canvas.

Bring Canvas with you

By using the Canvas app on iOS and Android you can access the contents of courses in the same manner as on your computer. You can also get ‘push-notifications’ when there is new content in your courses.
