RESILIENT is aimed at strengthening research and capacity building in social work in Rwanda, Tanzania and Uganda. It is an important goal of the project to build knowledge that is locally relevant and responsive to the needs and challenges of local communities.
The project is conducted in collaboration between the Department of social work at the University of Rwanda (UR), The Department of social work and social administration at Makerere University (MAK) in Uganda, the Institute of Social Work (ISW) in Dar es Salaam in Tanzania, and the Department of sociology and social work at the University of Agder (UiA) in Norway.
The project is funded by the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (NORAD) through the Norwegian Programme for Capacity Development in Higher Education and Research (NORHED).
