Two researchers from the University of Agder will advise the Norwegian Directorate of Education and Training on the use of aids during mathematics exams in secondary schools.
The mathematics didactics community at UiA has been assigned the responsibility for a national researcher school by the Research Council. 12 new researcher schools in various fields will be established across the country, and UiA will be involved with seven of them in addition to the one UiA leads.
As many as 60 students at UiA will be teaching assistants this year. Silje Hatlevik (21) and Preben Forsland (23) look forward to helping new students with the practical application of mathematics.
