Sexology is an interdisciplinary academic field that includes education, research, work with clinical issues and work in society where the purpose is to improve the sexual health of individuals, groups of individuals and the general population.

This broad understanding of sexology opens up a wide range of issues that necessitate a multidisciplinary approach and collaboration across different professional disciplines. For this reason, the research topics listed below are not exhaustive.
