Wanna sing in a choir?

The UiA choir is open to both students and staff at UiA, and starts for the spring semester on Tuesday 10 January.

 - We are ready for the new semester and are open for new members. You just have to show up, says conductor and professor in Music, Anne Haugland Balsnes.

The UiA choir rehearses in Sal 1, K-building, on Tuesdays from 1515 to 1700, campus Kristiansand. The choir is obligatory for students at the Music 1-year programme, and open for other interested students and staff at UiA.

After a longer break due to the pandemic, the choir started up again last autumn, and organized the concert Keep on Walking in November.

Jazz and relevant theme

This spring, the choir will be rehearsing for a big concert on April 26 in Kristiansand Cathedral, where we will make music by and with the jazz pianist Jan Gunnar Hoff, who is employed at the Faculty of Arts. The main work is entitled "Terra Nova», and thematises that we must take care of the Earth.
