To further increase security, two-step authentication will now also be introduced with Feide login.

In 2020, two-step authentication was introduced for all employees at UiA when logging in to Microsoft programs. In the spring of 2022, it was introduced for students.

To further increase security, two-step authentication will now also be introduced with Feide login, after 12 noon on Wednesday 10 August.

Feide login will be like the Microsoft 365 login. Select the "Use work or school account" button and you will be transferred to login:

“With this solution, two-step authentication is easily available to all users - both students and employees. It also means that you don't have to log in several times, if you have already logged in via the browser”, says Helge Høynes, senior engineer and IRT leader.

Download the Authenticator app

If you do not already have it, it is strongly recommended to download and use the Microsoft Authenticator app on your mobile phone to avoid having to receive SMS verification codes for each login.

“Another tip is to tick "remember login" when you log in to a browser, so you don't have to go through the two-step authentication every time for a period of time”, Høynes recommends.
