Two candidates for the university rector election
At the nomination deadline of 14 January 14:00, two nominations had been received by the election committee. The two candidates Sunniva Whittaker and Stephen Seiler will therefore be vying for the position of rector.

The first election period is held Monday, 11 February 10:00 to Monday, 18 February 14:00.
Since there are only two candidates, one of them can get more than 50 % of the votes. Therefore, there should be only one ballot for this rector election. However, if many cast a blank vote, there could be two ballots. This issue is currently being discussed by the election committee.
The new rector will start his og her rector period on 1 August.
