New board in August
In addition to the three staff representatives who will be elected now, the university board consists of one representative from temporary employed staff in teaching and research positions, two student representatives as well as rector and four external members appointed by the Ministry of Education and Research.
The student and temporary staff representatives will be elected later this year, at about the same time as the ministry appoints new external members to the university board. The new board commences on 1 August when Sunniva Whittaker takes over as new rector at the University of Agder.
The election period at UiA runs from Monday 1 April 10am to Monday 8 April 2pm.
