“To give our students and staff a predictable and safe start to 2022, it has been decided that teaching will be mostly digital in the first weeks of the spring semester, until Friday 21 January”, Rector Sunniva Whittaker says.

There will be some exceptions in courses where physical presence is required because of equipment, facilities, skills training, practice placements or other.

Schedules for the spring semester will be published on uia.no 15 December and will be up to date with the adjustments for 5 to 21 January.

“There is a lot of uncertainty around how the spring semester will be. Both teachers and students must be prepared that this semester too may be affected by the pandemic, with less opportunity for in-person instruction than what we would want and initially planned for”, says University Director Seunn Smith-Tønnessen.
