Marianne Øhrn Johannessen (41) has been appointed as the new faculty director at the Faculty of Fine Arts. She comes from the position of assistant director of academic affairs at the University of Agder.
“Art and culture are a big part of my life, and this interest takes up much of my spare time. The high academic and artistic quality that characterises the Faculty offers great opportunities”, says Øhrn Johannessen.
Marianne Øhrn Johannessen has almost 20 years of experience from the higher education sector and has held various administrative management positions for half that time. She has worked extensively on strategy development, both in her own institution and with national actors, and she has also worked on the internationalisation of education.
Since 2015, Øhrn Johannessen has been the assistant director of academic affairs at the University of Agder. Her work focused on digitisation, development of positive learning environments, internationalisation and emergency preparedness, and she has been part of the management team in the University Administration.
Øhrn Johannessen holds a cand.philol. degree from MF Norwegian School of Theology, Religion and Society and has also studied political science and history of ideas at the University of Oslo.
