Four UiA researchers clinch research prizes

Here are this year’s winners of the Sørlandet Knowledge Foundation research prizes 2022, awarded by the Agder Academy of Sciences and Letters.

The Sørlandet Knowledge Foundation’s research prizes were presented by Agder Academy of Sciences and Letters as is customary on the last Friday in October.

Here are this year’s winners - all from UiA:

Trond Abrahamsen and Vegard Lima, winners of the Sørlandet Knowledge Foundation research prize

The joint winners, Trond Abrahamsen and Vegard Lima, have received the award for a series of papers dealing with the geometric properties of Banach spaces which represent a breakthrough in the field of mathematics.

Einar Duenger Bøhn, winner of the Sørlandet Knowledge Foundation prize for popular dissemination

Einar Duenger Bøhn was awarded the prize for his dedication to the dissemination of philosophical ideas and classical texts. In addition to his many publications, Bøhn is known nationally for his lectures, debates on radio and TV, and not least his podcast which has several thousand followers.

Janaina Hartvet Lie, winner of the Agder Science Academy’s prize for young researchers

Janaina Hartveit Lie’s research is in the fields of special education and education law, focusing on childrens’ right to be heard, to co-determine and to participate in everyday school life. She has already made her mark and is recognised for her work in the field of tension between law and pedagogy. She received praises from the jury as a very talented young researcher.
