Four more years as dean for Wergeland
Marit Wergeland has been reappointed for an additional term as dean at the Faculty of Fine Arts.

This became clear after the matter was considered by the University Board on 25 November.
The position of dean is a fixed-term post that Wergeland has held for the past four years, and she will now continue to serve until 31.12.2024.
“I am very happy to continue for four more years. I am so proud of our faculty and did not feel I had completed my task as a dean”, says Wergeland.
As a dean, she is the faculty's academic leader and a member of rector's leadership team.
“Marit has done an outstanding job as dean at the Faculty of Fine Arts over the past four years, and I look forward to continue working with her”, says Rector Sunniva Whittaker.
Wergeland has been employed at UiA since 2002 and is an associate professor of theatre.
