ACTING: “I look forward to acting as faculty director in the coming period. The Faculty of Fine Arts is a wonderful and vibrant faculty”, Marianne Øhrn Johannessen says.

“I look forward to getting started. The Faculty of Fine Arts is in a process of development and has good people both in academic and administrative positions. I look forward to working with them all on the continued development”, says Marianne Øhrn Johannessen.

She is on leave from her position as deputy director of academic affairs at UiA and acts as faculty director.

She also says that she looks forward to meeting faculty staff at a staff meeting in Kristiansand on Wednesday this week.

New permanent director in 2020

The faculty director position is currently advertised as a permanent post and the application deadline is 12 November. Marianne Øhrn Johannessen will serve as acting faculty director until the appointment of a new permanent director which is expected at the beginning of 2020.

This means that Jan Oddvar Skisland, who is on leave from the university for four years while he serves as mayor in Kristiansand, will be assigned other tasks when he returns to UiA.
