Research interests

Torbjørn Bjorvatn is an active researcher. One central topic is so-called organisational project management, where he considers the interaction between project and base organisation in a project-supported (matrix) organisation. This research draws on theory in knowledge management, organisational learning and organisational structure. Another topic is inter-organisational cooperation, for example in strategic alliances. Much of Torbjørn Bjorvatn´s research has an international dimension. Previously, he has used survey studies extensively and analysed these statistically using partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM). Now, he works mostly with case studies.
