Henriette Hovland is a PhD Research Fellow at the Department of Health and Nursing Science and Centre for eHealth. Henriette’s research investigates older adults, social inclusion and digital technology. Her PhD-project is a part of Interreg North Sea Region-project “From Isolation to Inclusion” (I2I). The overall objective in I2I is to enhance innovation in social service delivery to improve social inclusion and counteract loneliness in North Sea Region communities and neighbourhoods. The University of Agder and Arendal municipality is the Norwegian partners, and Henriette will conduct her research in Arendal. Henriette has a master’s degree in Public Health Science (2018) from the University of Agder, with “Agenda Setting in the Public Health Field” as the main topic. She also has education in teaching (practical-pedagogic-education), and a bachelor’s degree in Public Health Work form the University of Agder.
From August 2019 until the start of the PhD-period Henriette worked at the Department of Nutrition and Public Health at the University of Agder. She taught at Bachelor and Master level in public health, nutrition, and home-school economics.
