I am a practicing futurist/foresight scientist and President of The Futures Lab, Inc. (www.futures-lab.com) for the past 24 years. In addition to my Assistant Professorship at UiA,, which commenced in 2014,  I am a lecturer in the College of Technology, Department of Human Development and Consumer Sciences at the University of Houston, TX, USA. and on the Executive Board and teach at the Center for Futures Studies at the University of Dubai, UAE. I teach graduate students in Applied Science of Foresight. I authored Future Frequencies and Future Flow and numerous works and papers on the future.  I am a PhD Candidate awaiting my defense.  I am primarily engaged with the future of learning and learning technologies and new approaches to opportunity-oriented, problem-based learning using immersive multimedia technologies.  I specialize in alternative thinking techniques. (Rhizomatic Thinking, Nomadic Thinking, etc). Currently, I reside in Rijeka, Croatia with my life-partner Helga Velga, who also studied for her Ph.D. in Futures Studies.

Research interests

The Science of Foresight and studies of the future. Emerging technologies, social change, economic systems in particular metaeconomics and political economics, environmental change and spatial narratives and political implications of industrial development. 

Anthropology, progressive culture/arts, music and its impact on societal change. new learning technologies and approaches, the science of learner development and emerging lifestyles, values, archetypes, identities and social/culture anchors.
