Linda Nakato

Linda Nakato is a PhD candidate in International Business at the School of Business & Law at the University of Agder.

She holds a Master of Science degree in Business Administration (International Management specialization) from the University of Agder and a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics from Makerere Univeristy in Uganda.

Linda is a member of the Center for Research on Social Enterprises and Microfinance (CERSEM).

I am a teaching assistant for the masters course on "Industrial Organization".

Linda's PhD project tackles three several aspects on the performance of savings groups through the following papers; 

  • Should informal financial groups at the bottom of the pyramid be linked to banks? A comparative analysis of linked and unlinked groups.
  • Financial education at the Bottom of the Pyramid: Is there an effect on the performance of informal grassroots financial associations?
  • Including men in a female financial model: an analysis of informal grassroots financial associations
