I am an associate Professor in Theatre at the Department of Visual and Dramatic Arts, University of Agder and a Coordinator of the Master’s Program in Fine Arts. My main research areas are performative research, practice-led research and educational design research, with a strong focus on how the performative and digital society can stimulate to renewal in relation to ways of teaching and doing research in Arts Education. I am currently part of the Creative Europe Project "ConnectUp" and the developmemt of the "Theatre Mediation Programme" (https://home.uia.no/gunnarh/files/2019/09/ConnectUp.pdf). Furthermore I am part of the researchgroup Art and Young People at UiA. 

In addition, I am chief editor of the Journal for Research in Arts and Sports Education (https://jased.net/index.php/jased/index) & a board member of Periskop (http://periskop.no)
