Knut Erik Bonnier is an Assistant Professor in Project Management at the Department for Working Life and Innovation at the School of Business and Law at the University of Agder. He earned his Msc degree in Industrial Economics and Technology Management at the University of Agder. Furthermore, he has a Bachelor degree in Computer Science with a specialization in Game Programming from Narvik University College (The Arctic University of Norway).
Knut has worked on several research projects on the topics of Project Management and Engineering Management. He is particularly interested in Serious Games, Gamefication, Game-based learning, Pedagogics, Project Management, Quality Management, and Engineering Management.
Knut has published articles for the International Group for Lean Construction (IGLC) and has co-authored a book on the topic of Lean Construction.
Currently, he is working on research projects on the topic of digitalization in education, particularly in the fields of serious games, gamefication and game-based learning. He is also working on projects together with local companies in the Agder region and is a facilitator for collaborative projects between local companies and the courses and programs for which he teach. Furthermore, he is the head of course for IND418 - Continous Improvement and Lean (Master's Programme in Industrial Economics and Technology Management, and Innovation and Knowledge Development), and ORG461 - Project Management in Fine Arts (Master's Programme in Popular Music).
