Hidle's research focuses on edcuational issues within social studies. Human Rights Education, identity, belonging, affiliation and diversity is amongst her key interests.
Hidle earned her phd at the University of Agder in 2013, analysing the renegotiationg of identity and primary affiliation in the preparatory works to the Marriage Act of 2009. Since then, she has taught social science, ethics and religious studies in the different brances of teachers education.
