Kari Lunøe-Nielsen works as an assistant professor at the Department of Law at the School of Business and Law at the University of Agder. She holds a cand. jur-law degree from the University of Oslo. She teaches a wide range of legal subjects, but her main focus is employment and labor law. 

Lunøe-Nielsen heads the University of Agder’s bachelor program in law, which she helped establish in 2011. As of August 2019 she also heads the bachelor program in Economics and Administration campus Kristiansand. She is also a member of the Electoral Council at the University of Agder.
