Erik Arntsen

Erik Arntsen is a Senior Executive Officer at the School of Business and Law at the University of Agder. He has a Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Hamburg (Germany).

Arntsen works primarily at the Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Agder, where he has been instrumental in the development, implementation and teaching of a number of studies, courses and programs – both at the master and bachelor level.

As a Senior Consultant at research institute Agderforskning, Arntsen worked in research projects mainly related to entrepreneurship and the installment and start-up of the Centre for Entrepreneurship at the University of Agder.

Arntsen is the author of several scientific papers that have been presented at conferences and seminars in Spain, Italy, UK, USA, Switzerland and Norway.

Arntsen spent a number of years in Germany, where he ran international recruitment operations for German healthcare company Medicalheads. Arntsen was also the founder and CEO of Innovateam in Hamburg.

After joining the University of Agder, Arntsen was Managing Director of a regional early stage venture fund, and Partner and as External Evaluator of several international entrepreneurship research projects.

Currently, Arntsen is a shareholder and Board Member of two private companies in the Agder Region. He is eager to engage with regional businesses, networks and clusters.

Arntsen has run two social entrepreneurship projects in Kristiansand; a development program for Kirkens Bymisjon and MAGI, a program for young people with special needs.

Arntsen is a committee member of the European Conference on Innovation and Entrepreneurship. He is a former board member of Ungt Entreprenørskap Agder,

Connect Sørlandet, The Norwegian Business Council for Germany in Berlin, the Interreg III-committee in Schleswig-Holstein (Germany). He is also a former Chairman of Peer Gynt Deutschland e.V.
