Amy is a Pakistani-Norwegian with 20 years of professional work experience in various multinational companies. In 2016, Amy started her first company. From a long-term perspective and considering entrepreneurial finance challenges, she got interested in crowdfunding.
She is currently pursuing her PhD in International Business at The University of Agder - Norway, where her research focus is on crowdfunding the emerging economies. From before, she has two master’s degrees: one from Australia in Human & International Relations and the second from Norway in Business Management. She has a bachelor’s degree from Pakistan in Psychology.
She is affiliated with the University of Agder's Center for Entrepreneurship and the Crowdfunding Research Center. As part of her academic activities, she teaches Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and give lectures on crowdfunding at both bachelor and master levels.
She also holds customized seminars and workshops around the globe in collaboration with other universities, incubators, accelerators, and actively participates in several think tanks to promote entrepreneurship, especially in the financially excluded unbanked sectors.
