The University and its surroundings

University of Exeter is considered one of the twelve elite universities in Great Britain and is a part of the Russel groups, which consists of 24 leading British Universities.  The university has approximately 25,000 students and a variety of study programs.  The university has two campuses, two in Exeter and one in the small twon of Penryn in Cornwall.

The university has always ranked high on student satisfaction surveys and has some of the best sports facilities in the country.

Exeter is an historical city with around 120,000 inhabitants living in Devon in southwest England.

Tuition

UiA has two free study places each semester.  75% of courses must be selected from the "College of Social Sciences and International Studies". 25 % courses can be selected from other "Colleges" at the university. 

Credits and Modules

Students must complete 60 credits within one semester or 120 credits for one year.

Housing

Student housing is only guaranteed for students staying one year at the University of Exeter.  Students studying for one semester will be on the priority list but are not guaranteed housing.  Here is more housing information.

Admission

You must have an active study right to a program at UiA and have completed a minimum of 60 ECTS to go on exchange.  Read more about the admission requirements here.

Students must have a minimum of a 4 in English from High School. This must be documented with a transcript that is no more than 7 years old.

Additional Information

The examination period ends around January 10th.  Students staying only one semester may expect to have exams within the first week of January.
