James Cook University (JCU) has three campuses: two are located in the north, in Queensland (Townsville and Cairns), Australia and one in Singapore. The university has around 20 000 students, and of those about 12 000 study in Townsville, approximately 6 000 study in the Cairns campus and the rest study in Singapore. Townsville has around 160 000 inhabitants, and Cairns has around 150 000. Both cities are natural starting points to visit the Great Barrier Reef, as well as being ideal places for those who like tropical climates, nature and a vast wildlife.
Students from most subject areas can also find fantastic opportunities at JCU, and UiA’s agreement is open for students from all subject areas. JCU does not only have good professional offers for international students, it also has a great support network that organises fun events such as Fridays Barbeques and weekend trips.
