Deakin University is ranked among the top 1% in a variety of courses, is one of the best universities in Australia. Deakin is located in Victoria, a state in southeastern Australia, with campuses in both Melbourne and smaller towns Geelong and Warrnambool. Which campus you study at depends on which study program you have been admitted to but most of the students study in Melbourne. Melbourne is Australia’s second largest city with 4.5 million inhabitants. Here you can combine both big city and beach life in one.
This agreement is generally open for all study programs at UiA, but first check the possibility with your academic program before you apply.
Tuition
Tuition fees are approximately AUD 8.700 per trimester. This includes a 10% discount on the ordinary fees.
You must be a registered program student at UiA and have completed a minimum of 60 ECTS in able to go on a study exchange. Check your study plan for more information about when you can go on exchange in your program.
Deakin University requires approximately a C average, along with a grade of 4 in English from High School.
Additional Information
At Deakin University, the teaching year is divided into three trimesters, each 12 weeks.
Trimester 1: March-June
Trimester 2: July-October
Trimester 3: November-February
The first and second trimesters are most relevant for UiA students.
Attention: Some students must complete an additional health check. This costs approximately 2-3000 kroner and is completed at specialized doctors (so called Panel Physicians) in Oslo and Bergen. (as of 2019) The reason for the extra health checks can be, for example, if you have traveled within the last 5 years to high risk countries, such as Africa, some countries in Asia and South America.
