California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB) is a campus based breadth-university with approximately 7 500 students. The university has 25 different bachelor degrees and 7 master degrees, as well as having many study programmes that work well for students from UiA. CSUMB was established in 1994 in a location that used to be a military base, but iron investigations and building projects have made CSUMB be an attractive campus just two kilometers away from the beautiful Monterey Bay.
The city of Monterey has around 27000 citizens and is about 2 hours away (south) from San Francisco. CSUB’s student card gives students free bus tickets that are valid in the entire district.
The university tuition fees are 5700 dollars per semester.
Credits and Modules
Students from UiA have to take 15 CSUMB credits in order to get 30 study points.
Information on all CSUMB’s study programmes can be found here, and to find further information on the different subjects, you must click on the study programme of your choice and then find the course description.
CSUMB guarantees student accommodation for all international students, although single rooms cannot be guaranteed. Several of the halls of residence on campus require that students have a meal plan, but the halls of residence on the East Campus have their own kitchen. There is a free bus service that connects the halls of residence and the campus.
