Welcome to the annual National Conference in Political Science at the Department of Political Science and Management of the University of Agder (UiA), 9-11 January 2023.

The annual Norwegian political science conference is primarily conceived as a venue for scholars from Norwegian universities, colleges and research institutes – but open to participation from other colleagues from inside or outside the country, too. Participation is conditional on submission of a draft article. One aim of the conference is to provide younger, as well as established researchers, the opportunity to present, and receive feedback, on forthcoming papers. Papers and presentations are welcome in Norwegian or English.

This year's plenary session will be a keynote from Associate Professor Anne Pintsch and Maryna Rabinovych .
Anne Pintsch is the head of the Jean Monnet Center of Excellence at UiA.
The topic will be the ongoing war in Ukraine (tba).
The conference is organized into sessions of five working groups as indicated below. Upon registering for he conference, you need state which working group you’d prefer to join, the title of your article and a short abstract/summary (up to 250 words). The article can be written in both Norwegian or English, but you must be prepared to present and discuss in English if one or more participants do not speak Norwegian. It is expected that each conference participant will act as an opponent of at least one article.

The group welcomes theoretical and empirical papers on international relations and politics, the function and operation of international organizations, internationalization and globalization, security policy and international conflicts.
