Shedding light on the communities behind the acronymes EARLI – SIG11 – JURE
Keynote 12 June 2018
Prof. Annelies Kreis (Convenor SIG11) University of Zurich, & Hanne Tack (Jure-Coordinator), Ghent University
We are very happy to organize this interactive session during the EARLI SIG 11 2018 Conference at the University of Agder. This conference is part of the regular activities of the Special Interest Group 11 “Teaching and Teacher Education” (SIG 11) of the European Association for Research on Learning and Instruction (EARLI). Its aim is to offer excellent opportunities to meet and discuss, to build networks, to initiate collaborations, and of course to further nurture our knowledge on teaching and teacher education. During this interactive session, we will both inform you and ask you to think about the aims and opportunities of EARLI and SIG11 for networking and collaboration. As one of the two present convenors (together with Inger-Marie Dalehefte, our host at this conference), Annelies Kreis will first discuss the goals, the organization and the activities of EARLI as the “mother-association”. Next, she will inform about our special interest group within EARLI, the SIG11 “Teaching and Teacher Education”. During the second part of this session, Hanne Tack – the JURE Coordinator of SIG 11 – will further elaborate on the JURE organization for upcoming researchers within the association, and she will inform about respective activities for young academics. Furthermore, Hanne also wants to learn about your perspectives and ideas on EARLI SIG 11, and as such, collaboratively think about future actions for young researchers within EARLI SIG 11. Please join us during this interactive session.
We look forward to meeting you and discussing ideas.
