Campus Kristiansand has about 900 parking spaces for cars, of which 600 are public. With more than 7000 students and employees, we recommend cycling, walking or taking the bus to campus.
Public parking lots
Public parking lots are marked with a white “P” on a blue background. Private signs are black and white. It is only permitted to park in the marked spaces on public parking lots. Kristiansand Parkeringsselskap (parking company) controls parking on public lots. Unregulated parking will lead to the owner of the car receiving a parking ticket of 500 NOK or more.
Parking lots with barriers
There are two parking lots with barriers. These can be opened by using the student or employee card. The barriers are open between 4 pm and 7 am on weekdays and all weekend.
On parking lots that are not public, it is important that no cars are parked in a way that could hinder others.
Maximum parking time is 24 hours.
Charging stations for electric cars
Campus Kristiansand has eight charging stations. Six of these are placed in a secluded area of the parking lot by Hokus-Pokus kindergarten. The other two are in the Vaskeridalen (Laundry Valley) on the north side of the campus building.
There are also charging stations reserved for UIA’s electric cars by the main entrance.
The parking spaces with charging stations are reserved for those charging. Others must use the regular parking spaces.
