The parking house is subject to a small fee, while the others are reserved for visitors.
The area around campus has regulated parking, and you are only allowed to park in marked spaces. You can park in the same spot to for up to 24 hours. This is also the case in the parking house. Parking exceeding the 24 hour-limit must be approved by the Facilities Management.
The parking areas are checked by Europark. Instances of double parking, parking exceeding 24 hours, or failing to pay the parking fee, will result in a 710 NOK ticket. For questions or complaints, contact Europark through www.europark.no
We would like to remind you that parking on a public road is not allowed in near proximity of turns or road crosses.
The parking house (subject to fee)
The parking house is reserved for students and employees. For this reason, you must use your student or employee ID to open the boom gate at the entrance of the parking house. An open gate indicates that anyone can park there, and that they will likewise be able drive out without problem.
Parking in the parking house is subject to a fee on all days. The fee is 5 NOK, regardless of whether you will be parked for 10 minutes or 24 hours. It is possible to pay for two or more days of parking, but the car has to be moved to a different spot every 24 hours.
Once paid for, the fee will not be refunded. The parking ticket dispenser machines accept coins, as well as most debit and credit cards.
Teknologiparken (private parking)
To the left of the driveway to the parking house, there is a private parking lot. This belongs to Teknologiparken, and cannot be used by UIA.
The guest parking lots are reserved for visitors, and parking permission for one day is available at the service centre to the right of the main entrance. For some, it will likely be more practical to get permission for longer periods of time. This is restricted to special instances and must be arranged with the Facilities Management.
Disabled parking is free of charge, but a valid permission slip must be visible.
Motorcycle and scooter
Motorcycles and scooters also have to park in marked out spots, either for motorcycles or cars.
Electric car charging stations
There are six charging stations in the parking house on Campus Grimstad.
The parking spots are reserved for cars that need charging, and those which do not need charging must park in the regular spots.
